FAQ – frequently asked questions
Our customer support deals with a number of inquiries repetitively. Below you can find answer for frequently asked questions.
The electronics reacts correctly but water flows constantly or leaks.
If water flows constantly even after removing contacts from the valve or switching off the source of power supply most probably there is dirt in electromagnetic valve – it is necessary to clean the valve. It is described in maintenance and assembly manual how to clean the valve (the manual is packed with each product or can be downloaded from the web pages).
The electronics reacts correctly, the valve switches on but water does not flow.
Check if water supply is not closed or sieve in corner valve is choked.
Product for 12 V, 50 Hz will not blink a pilot light after switching on.
Check power supply, respectively fuse in the source of power supply. If product was connected to 230 V, the electronics is irrevocable destroyed. Only the producer can repair such failure.
Product for 12 V, 50 Hz - after connecting to other source of 12 V (e.g. battery charger) does not work properly.
Equipment as a unit does not work after connecting to such source of power supply as electromagnetic valve needs for its functioning a.c. voltage with frequency 50 Hz whereas e.g. battery charger has capacity approximately 5 kHz and consequently the valve does not work. After connecting to correct source of power supply (ZAC 1/20 or 1/50) equipment works properly.
Product for 6V - after inserting hands to scanning zone the pilot light blinks but the valve does not work.
Batteries are discharged and it is necessary to be exchanged. Exchange all four cylindrical batteries – step by step old ones to new ones not to delete adjusted parameters of a product (parameters remains if disconnection of power supply is shorter than 10 sec.). Do not use charging batteries (accumulator 1,2 V), use only quality alkaline batteries. Do not shift producers and battery types.
Product for 6 V - the water constantly flows and after hands are inserted into the scanning zone, the pilot light blinks and the water stops flowing.
The polarity of the electromagnetic valve is connected conversely (the black-red wire is connected to the minus pole and the black is on the plus pole of the electromagnetic valve).
Urinal with thermal sensor flushed randomly.
One of the causes of random flushing consists of the fact that water is self-primmed from the siphon due to a poor quality of outlet installation. Branch vent is not carried out (or outlet is choked) and the only solution is outlet repair. Other possibility is that backflow pressure of hot into cold water happens in pipes of water distribution and consequently urinal flushes by hot water. The urinal also flushes as water in siphon is subsequently warmed above adjusted temperature (e.g. sun shines onto the urinal, room is overheated). The urinal will not flush in the event that there is scale on the thermal reservoir (heat transfer does not take place). The scale must be removed from the thermal reservoir by means of a chemical agent in order for it to function correctly.
Urinal blinks and flushes during resting state.
When urinal during resting state unreasonably blinks and flushes, most probably source of power supply is overloaded or happens voltage decreasing and consequently same state like after switching on to power supply. Solution is to use additional dimensioned source of power supply.
Photocell sensor does not react to black colour well.
It is a physical character of the sensor – black matt colour flashes back sensor ray far worse than light sheeny colour. It is necessary to increase radius of sensor to avoid side or opposite wall reflections. Such adjustment subdues the problem but does not fully delete it. Such problem solves a thermal flushing system.
Urinal blinks after switching on, flushes and then pilot light lights constantly and do not react furthermore.
Big radius of sensor is adjusted – ray flushes back from the opposite or side wall. Short cut the radius by means of DO. (This problem is concerned only in urinals with old types of electronics, urinals with intelligent type of electronics do not have such problem). Described effect can happen e.g. even after proper cleaning of room where walls with tilings are sheeny and happen constant reflection of rays. Radius of sensor of urinals with older type of electronics needs to be adjusted, urinals with intelligent electronics can only be switched off and on and required radius is self-adjusted.
When toilet flushes not enough water flows.
Most frequent failure is cracked membrane in electromagnetic valve. Failure is manifested itself in such a way that the valve starts opening too little but closes well. Solution is exchange of old membrane to new one.
It is impossible to adjust temperature of water on equipment with thermostatic valve.
Check connection of hoses to thermostatic valve – water inlet must be connected to inlet of the valve marked red, furthermore check function of backflow valves. When water flows constantly hot at random position of thermostatic head and can be turned for 360°C – it is broken by means of inadequate force during manipulation. Turning back for 360° can help or at bigger damage it is necessary to change a core of the valve.
Through-flow water heater does not react after switching on.
Damage happens when the water heater is not properly filled with water before switching on and consequently heating segment is burned. The same damage can happen after closing and draining the water and before repeated start if it was not properly filled with water. The heating segment can not be repaired and it is necessary to be exchanged to new one. Check the water pressure. The differential switch of the through-flow water heater switches on at 0.3 MPa.
Product has got lowered sensibility.
It can happen to all sensor products and is caused by dirt on sensor-windows. Repair consists of cleaning, eventually exchanging to new ones. Bigger radius can be also reached.
How long is warranty?
The producer takes responsibility for the product characteristics determined by the technical conditions throughout the whole of warranty period, which is 24 months from the date of sale, longest 30 months from date of production.
