MAK 1 coin-operated credit control
MAK 1 is a coin-operated credit control for pre-payment of power or hot water consumed within a property (e.g. a rented cottage). After inserting coins into the control (their value is shown on the display) it is possible to use paid appliances until the pre-paid credit is spent. Coin operated control MAK 1 can be equipped with a coin counter PM 3 to order.
MAK 1.1 is a coin-operated control intended for monitoring one paid item with varying usage – e.g. consumption of electricity or hot water.
Example of use:
a) Monitoring of electricity: there are only unpaid appliances in operation within a property (section 1) – e.g. lighting. All sockets (section 2) are switched off. After inserting a qualified fee into the MAK 1, the power supply of the sockets is switched on. The prepaid credit runs down in accordance to the consumption of electricity depending on the adjusted rate per kWh. When credit reaches zero, the sockets are switched off.
b) Monitoring of water: cold water is free of charge within a property, hot water can be used after inserting a qualified fee into the MAK 1. Prepaid credit starts to run down in accordance to the water consumption. When the credit reaches zero, hot water stops running.
MAK 1.2 is a coin-operated control intended for monitoring one paid item with varying consumption (e.g. consumption of electricity or hot water) and one with the constant value (e.g. electrical heating).
Example of use:
The same as MAK 1.1; furthermore one constant value can be monitored (section 3), its take-off can be turn on at non-zero credit by means of a START – STOP button. The credit falls low in accordance with the rate per kWh.
MAK 1.3 is a coin-operated control intended for monitoring two paid items with varying take-off (e.g. consumption of electricity or hot water) and one with the constant value (e.g. electrical heating).
Example of use:
The same as MAK 1.2, but it is possible to monitor take-off of the electricity and hot water together.
